Critical Care Clinical Trials & Studies
Clinical research is important in advancing care for children with life-threatening illness. Our investigators lead and participate in federally funded research focused on pediatric sepsis, mitochondrial dysfunction, cardiac intensive care outcomes, and strategies that protect organs during critical illness.
We contribute to national registries and collaboratives that guide evidence-based intensive care. Our teams also advance translational studies that evaluate fluid resuscitation approaches, long-term recovery after sepsis, and next-generation life support technologies designed to improve safety and outcomes for critically ill children.
